Poetry

I’ve always felt as though poetry has eluded me. It’s mathematical, almost, in its meter, syllable count, structure, etc. But lately I’ve been compelled to create content and add to my poetry collection. I’ve included a few poems I composed while in college, as well as two new poems I’ve just written.

Most recently, I’ve completed a project with my mother and co-collaborator on a poetry chapbook, Reflections, that was published August of 2025. Reflections is a collection of selected poems that explore the deep connections between earth, heart, light, and dark—revealing their inextricable ties to life’s journey. I hope to grow this collection over time, and most of all, I hope you enjoy!

Weeping Willow *NEW*

A despondent young woman consults a willow tree and discovers her own truth, strength, and beauty.

Into the Storm *NEW*

A poem about the challenges women face and how to move forward in our society.

Calendar of a Gravesite

Reflections on the cyclical nature of life and death.

Trumpets of My Love

A poem around Christ’s love for us and his ultimate sacrifice for humankind.

Dawn of Forty-Nine

A natural poem dedicated to my mother.
